“Palate” Curated By Zio Fulcher for Scion Installation L.A.

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

I ran across some dope art on Format mag. “Scion Installation L.A. is in the business of nurturing artistic expression and creative vision, and their latest exhibit, “Palate” curated by resident L.A. cultural guru, Zio Fulcher, is no exception. Hosted within the 4,500-square foot Installation Space in Culver City, Fulcher has gathered a group of internationally acclaimed artists and asked them to give us some food for thought.”

Ran across this sculpture on highsnobiety.com The sculpture comes with an overall rusty look and even bolts, rivets and panels have been added to the figure. The outcome is actually pretty amazing. The 1 of 1  14″ sculpture will be sold soon for 3′500 USD at the Toy Art Gallery.

Bryan Espiritu x Fully Wholly

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Toronto-based designer Bryan Espiritu releases his fourth set of Fully Wholly’s entitled, “You Know, Back Home?” This collection reflects Bryan’s lack of knowledge relating to his Filipino roots. This is the fourth set following up on the Simpsons, Disney, and Yeezy sets.

Bryan describes a Wholly as “a stylized character who is composed of a base or shell that generally has four holes in it. Those four holes provide me with endless possibilities to solving graphic problems. I use the base or shell as a canvas to create the character, and the holes to act as ports to extensions of the character.”
